The 330 pipe installation is completed and the Highway will be opened earlier than expected.
That's right. Caltrans officials say the expect Hwy 330 to be reopened by Mid May, if weather allows the agency contractor to stay on schedule. Excavation has been completed and a new culvert pipe has been installed.
They are now backfilling the pipe and if weather stays on the sunny side they should have it finished in the next two weeks.
I will keep you posted. Remember that Highway 18 to Lake Arrowhead is not affected by this and you can use route 18 to continue on to Running Springs and Big Bear areas.
