This weekend will bring some perfect weather to the lake.  We are expecting clear skies for Christmas Eve and Christmas day.  It will be brisk, but sunny.  The highs will be around 48 degrees for the weekend and the lows will be around 26 degrees.

Don't forget that the Lake Arrowhead Village will be open this weekend for the after Christmas shopping.  Come up and enjoy the wonderful winter we are having.

Oklahoma law passed, 37 to 9, had a few liberals in the mix, an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol.  The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake. Hey this is a conservative state, based on Christian values...!   HB 1330

Oklahoma recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from unless they want to get a green card and become an American citizen.  They all scattered.  HB 1804.  Hope we didn't send any of them to your state.  This was against the advice of the Federal Government, and the ACLU, they said  it would be a mistake.

Recently we passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegals to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative purposes.  Pelosi said it was unconstitutional.   SB 1102

Several weeks ago, we passed a law, declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives.  Joining    Texas , Montana and Utah as the only states to do so.  More states are likely to follow:  Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolina's, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, Mississippi, Florida.  Save your confederate money, it appears the South is about to rise up once again.  HJR 1003

The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns.  Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles.  I'm sure that was a set back for the criminals. Liberals didn't like it -- But ...

               Guess what........... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Just this month, my state has voted and passed a law that ALL driver's license exams will be printed in English, and only English, and no other language.  We have been called racist for doing this, but the fact is that ALL of our road signs are in English only.  If you want to drive in Oklahoma , you must read and write English.  Really simple.

By the way, liberals do not like any of this.
              Guess what....who cares... Oklahoma is doing it anyway.

Basel is of course "not accountable" to anyone, as it deliberates in secret.  But if you're wondering where the rally came from in the Nikkei and Europe today, this is why....

The transition period for tighter capital requirements will probably start in 2012 or 2013, according to officials who declined to be identified because the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision's deliberations are private. Bank stocks in Asia and Europe rallied.

Let me fix that second paragraph:

The Group of 20 Nations agreed in April that banks  should lie more frequently and flagrantly about their asset quality so as to bonus out money they don't really have, even though doing so will virtually guarantee that cash flow will become insufficient in the coming years and lead to a global financial meltdown worse than the fall of 2008.

You heard it here first folks.  $1 trillion in HELOCs on balance sheets here in the US, many of them worth exactly nothing, all carried at or near PAR (100 cents on the dollar), and all a "great game" until they either mature or the underlying first mortgage forecloses - at which point the detonation that has been hidden is uncovered, revealing only a smoking hole where an asset was claimed to be.

Commentary:

So far this morning bonds have continued the selling trend that started yesterday. The ADP Employment

Survey was close to being in line with expectations when the revision of the previous month's report is taken

in to consideration. This did not give any indication about what to expect from the Government's report on

Friday. Mortgage applications were up slightly last week. According to the MBA the average mortgage rate

has dropped to 4.79% last week. Historically low rates should help fuel refinance activity but the larger gain

in applications was from purchase transactions.

Later this morning the Fed will release their economic outlook (Beige Book). Thursday and Friday have a

full slate of data which should bring some more price movements.

Commentary:

Mortgages and Treasuries are down this morning with the former suffering a little more than the latter. The

ISM survey was not consistent with the Chicago PMI that exceeded forecasts yesterday. This did, however,

mark the 4th consecutive month of expansion. Pending Home Sales data was consistent with other housing

data released last week and was clearly impacted by the tax credit expiration (which was extended).

Construction spending was flat in October even and the reported expansion in September was revised to

show contraction. The report was dragged down by commercial construction as homebuilding actually

expanded quite a bit.

The other factor impacting bond prices this morning is the talks regarding how Dubai World will resolve its

debt issues. Treasuries had been benefiting from the speculation that Dubai World would default on $26bln

of debt, but now they are involved in talks to restructure the debt which sapped some of the demand for the

safe haven of Treasuries.
